TJ & Mandy

This was a 4 layer cake with butter cream frosting. Frosted smooth to look like fondant - but tastes a whole lot better!
The light blue swag was done with fondant to resemble the same gathered look in the brides dress. Silk flowers to match the brides bouquet.

  1. A wedding day is a day that will always be cherished and remembered; therefore, when it came to the decision of who was going to make our cake I knew I didn't want a local company let alone some random person to make it. I wanted somebody who was going to take the time, not only to listen to me, but also to treat me as a valuable individual rather than another person getting married. My sister, who was married in 2005, recommended Brenda Hess. With my grandmother, aunt, and Brenda, we found the perfect cake in one of Brenda’s magazines, as she has several to look through. Our cake not only mocked the front of my dress beautifully, but it also was simple enough to add our “golf” toppers, as my husband is an adamant golfer. Not only that, Brenda had to make a cake for a VERY, I mean VERY picky eater….MY HUSBAND! He ONLY wanted a certain kind of frosting, which she had to special order, yellow cake for our first bite, and yellow cake for our one year anniversary. The rest of the cake needed to be white. It takes a special decorator to meet my husband’s needs. As for Brenda, she was the lucky one! After our special day, Brenda contacted me to see how everything went. I was happy to let her know that we had numerous compliments on our wedding cake. In addition, she was on the top of our thank you list. Still to this day, Brenda communicates with me. What other cake decorator do you know of who keeps in contact? Thank you EVER SO MUCH, Brenda, for making our day even more memorable!
